Job Title: Manufacturing Inspection Technician          

 Job Summary          

  • A self motivated individual responsible for performing multiple duties in direct support of production operations for fiber optic imaging components.  A qualified individual will be able to inspect and audit fiber optic components with minimal supervision.  Ability to read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine customer requirements for finished work pieces. Must also have ability to set-up and operate inspection equipment including microscopes, optical comparators, and drop gages. The ideal candidate will have a background in Quality Assurance and can expect to support the QA dept with calibration and product return/rework documentation.

 Essential Job Functions          

  • Inspection Documentation and Training– Create new or edit inspection Job breakdowns. Train product line inspectors for use of best practices for minimal variation.
  • Production Inspection and Audit–Perform audits on product line inspectors and production work centers work quality as pertaining to measurement and inspection methods.
  • Production Line Variation reduction Efforts  – Support engineering efforts for understanding yield loss trends and help collect data toward Gauge R&Rs, capability studies, and control charts.
  • QA Calibration Support
  • QA Customer Support

 Essential Job Requirements          

  • Associate’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Inspection.
  • More than 5 years of work experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Inspection (preferably with the inspection of optical components)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret yield and scrap trends
  • Proficiency using MS Office

   

Job Title: Machine Operator, 2nd Shift   

     

Job Summary    

  • Operate machinery in a production environment, including but not limited to cutting, grinding, polishing

     

Essential Job Requirements    

  • 1-2 years machine operating experience preferred
  • Basic Math and Measuring skills
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, etc
  • Fluency in English (read, write, understand)
  • Ability to follow direction, written and verbal
  • Willingness and adaptability to cross-train and learn additional skills

      

Job Title: Fiber Draw Handler, 2nd Shift    

     

Job Summary    

  • Work in a production environment to assist in the transferring of delicate glass fibers from one work area to another

Essential Job Requirements    

  • Basic Math and Measuring skills
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, etc
  • Fluency in English (read, write, understand)
  • Ability to follow direction, written and verbal
  • Willingness and adaptability to cross-train and learn additional skills
