A Single Source for Intensifier Tube Fiberoptic Components INCOM is a single-source manufacturer for all fiberoptic components used in night vision image intensifier tubes. Our wide variety of anode, cathode, inverted, and tapered optics have been used in night vision technologies since GEN I. Incom Faceplates Make Heads-Up Displays Lighter and Brighter Heads-up displays enable fighter pilots to process outside views and cockpit data at the same time. By projecting cockpit information focused at infinity on the pilot’s visor, a pilot can read flight data without refocusing from the external view. No refocusing and no looking down at instrumentation saves time that enables pilots to fly and operate weapons systems simultaneously. Inverters Rotate Images to Shorten and Lighten Optical Systems The lens in front of image intensifiers inverts the incoming image. INCOM’s inverters rotate the image as it exits the intensifier so soldiers can view the image properly. Tapers Transfer and Enlarge Images for Electronic Capture and Display Tapers can transfer images from intensifier tubes and couple the image to CCDs, creating a larger display for viewing. |
