Incom offers two types of MCP-based photodetectors and custom-tailored solutions.

Incom’s LAPPD is the world’s largest and fastest MCP-based photodetector. With picosecond level timing, high spatial resolution and the industry’s lowest dark counts, no detector is more capable of imaging with single photon sensitivity. Our LAPPD was developed in partnership with the Department of Energy, Argonne National Labs, and the University of Chicago to explore the elementary constituents of matter and energy, the interactions between them, and the nature of space and time. After nearly ten years of development, Incom is proud to bring this revolutionary technology to market.

The HRPPD includes all of the LAPPD features, but the smaller size allows for direct readout through the anode, leading to improved timing and spatial resolution. This supports applications involving high rates of incoming particles or performance in a magnetic field.

Incom also offers custom detectors for your unique application.  Potential options include custom wavelength sensitivity, phosphor readout, sensor coupling, etc.
